Instead of presenting Joan with termination letter they should have given her a warning and the last chance. Maybe if she was warned and given the last opportunity she could have changed and worked much harder.Since Joan claims th at she has always performed her duties well then I would take the time to decide on her case. First, I would inquire from the other staff to find out if she is telling the truth then I would judge her accordingly. Since, she has not been served with a warning before I would recommend that they give her the last chance (Fallon et.al, 2007).
